When Professional Drying Is Needed
The simplest approach to drying out a property is to open all the windows and doors and wait. But even when the walls look dry on the surface, full drying can take several months this way. Heating the air with portable heaters or heat guns speeds up surface evaporation, but moisture trapped deep in concrete, wood framing, and insulation remains for much longer. Rushed heating can crack plaster and warp finishes before the deeper layers have had a chance to dry.
